We’ve watched Jacksonville grow and change. We’ve seen local businesses rise and fall, neighborhoods evolve, new developments reshape our communities, and people from all over the country find their way to the First Coast in search of sunshine, a warmer climate, no state income tax, and the freedom that Florida represents.
But through all of that change, some things have remained beautifully the same.
Our parks.
Our beaches.
Our rivers, creeks, lakes, and waterways.
Our neighborhoods and communities.
And most importantly, the people who call this place home.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting people from every corner of Jacksonville and the surrounding First Coast—people who were born and raised here, people who moved away and came back, and people who chose Jacksonville as their new home.
Those stories inspired Duval 4 Life.
Because whether you’ve lived here your entire life, spent a few years here, moved away, or just arrived—we believe there’s something that connects us.

More Than a City
You’ve probably heard someone call Jacksonville boring.
We don’t believe that.
We believe Jacksonville is overlooked.
There is an incredible amount happening across the 904 every single day—live music, local restaurants, festivals, markets, community events, sports, art, entertainment, outdoor adventures, hidden gems, and hundreds of miles of beaches, rivers, creeks, and natural spaces waiting to be explored.
The challenge isn’t that there’s nothing to do.
The challenge is finding it.
That’s why we’re building Duval 4 Life.
Our goal is to create a trusted, easy-to-use destination for discovering what’s happening in Jacksonville and throughout the First Coast—from local events and businesses to outdoor conditions, places to explore, people to meet, and stories worth sharing.
We’re building the 904 Calendar to help answer a simple question:
“What’s happening around here?”
And we’re doing it with the community—not just for the community.
Because Jacksonville is bigger than a city name.
It’s neighborhoods, beaches, riverside communities, suburbs, small businesses, local traditions, hidden corners, and distinct cultures that all come together to make this place what it is.
The things that make the First Coast special don’t stop at a neighborhood sign or a city boundary.
This is one community.
