Duval 4 Life LLC ("Duval 4 Life," "we," "us," or "our") operates duval4life.com, including the 904 Calendar, Outdoor Report and online store, and publishes content on social media. We aim to use only the information needed to run these services, respond to people, fulfill orders and, when launched, send an optional email newsletter. This policy explains what information may be handled when you use the site or interact with us. It does not govern the independent practices of social media platforms, event organizers or sites we link to.

  1. Information we receive

Information you choose to provide. If you use our contact form, submit event information or contact us directly, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, message and any event materials. If you later sign up for our newsletter, we will receive your email address and any optional information requested on the signup form.

Store and gift card orders. When you buy merchandise or a gift card, Squarespace and the services used for checkout process details needed for the transaction, which may include your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, order contents, gift card recipient information if you provide it, and payment details. We may access order and contact details to fulfill the purchase and help with customer service. The payment provider processes payment card details; please consult the checkout provider's notice for its practices.

Basic site and device information. When you visit, Squarespace and other providers that deliver or protect the site may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, and the date and time of a request. This information is used to make the site work and keep it secure. Cookies and similar storage are described below.

Social media. If you comment, message us, tag us or otherwise interact with our social accounts, we can see the information you make available through that platform, such as your username, message and publicly shared content. The platform independently handles information under its own privacy policy.

  1. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the website; display calendar and outdoor information; answer questions and correct listings; process orders, payments, delivery and customer support; manage submissions; maintain records required for business or legal purposes; and send the newsletter only to people who sign up for it. We may use limited site activity information to understand whether the site works and improve it. We do not intend to build profiles of individual visitors for targeted advertising or sell our email list.

  1. Optional weekly newsletter and promotions

We plan to offer an optional newsletter, generally sent weekly, with upcoming events, Duval 4 Life updates, sales and promotions. It may also describe giveaways or offers connected with store orders. The details and eligibility for any particular offer or giveaway will be provided with that offer. Signing up for the newsletter will be a separate choice; purchasing a product, contacting us or submitting an event will not by itself add you to the marketing list.

We will use the email address you provide to send these messages through the email service we choose. Each marketing email will provide a way to unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited record of your choice to avoid sending further marketing messages. Unsubscribing does not stop necessary messages about an order you placed or a request you sent us. We will update this policy with the newsletter provider and any material new practices when the newsletter launches.

  1. Cookies and local storage

We do not need advertising cookies to provide our own content. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to serve and protect the site and support functions such as checkout. We have configured Squarespace to restrict non-essential cookies, including its analytics and performance cookies. We do not display a cookie banner to offer visitors a way to enable those cookies. Some third-party services embedded in or connected to the site may use their own cookies or similar technologies that Squarespace's restriction does not control. Because of this, it would be inaccurate to promise that the site uses no cookies or collects no technical data.

The Outdoor Report saves your chosen location on your device using browser local storage so it can remember the selection on a later visit. This selection is one of the locations offered in the report; the site does not need your device's precise GPS location for that feature. You can clear it using your browser's site-data controls. Browser settings may also let you block or delete cookies, though some site or checkout functions may be affected.

  1. Services that may receive information

We use Squarespace to host the site, forms and store. Payment providers and, for physical orders, shipping or fulfillment providers receive information needed for their services. The 904 Calendar uses hosted infrastructure to deliver event listings; the Outdoor Report requests data from weather, tide, marine and radar providers. Those providers may receive technical request information, including an IP address and the selected report location. When the newsletter launches, its email provider will process subscriber addresses to send it. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or investigate abuse.

We do not provide subscriber lists to event organizers or advertisers for their own marketing. If we later add a new advertising or tracking service that materially changes these practices, we will update this policy and take any additional steps required by law.

  1. Third-party links and social platforms

Links to event organizers, ticket sellers, maps, social media sites and other outside services take you to their own websites or apps. Their privacy policies apply to their collection and use of your information. Public posts and comments on social media may be visible to others according to your platform settings.

  1. Retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was provided, handle orders and requests, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. For example, order records may need to be kept longer than a general inquiry. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

  1. Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit a form or join the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each message. You can also use your browser controls for cookies and local storage. To ask about, correct or request deletion of information you provided to us, use our Contact page. We will respond in accordance with applicable law and may need to retain certain records, including order records, where required or reasonably necessary.

  1. Children

Our site and newsletter are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request.
